The Studio Sleeper Futon mattress has support technology coils with insulator pads. Each mattress contains 1.5" of high-density foam and 20 pounds of lofted cotton, with each mattress also meeting all CSPC Flammability Standards. Features a 276 coil unit with 13 gauge springs.

It has a unique design; the mattress is split.  It is actually a 2-piece mattress attached by the mattress encasement or cover.  This design allows for easy opening and closing on a futon frame. The split can not be felt and hardly seen, but it does make it much easier to bend the mattress and close a futon frame. The encasements, or covers, can be removed and changed as desired. Covers are available in 6 fabrics.
